How much do your services cost?
It depends. There are 2 ways to pay for my services: self-pay (including Health/Flexible Spending Accounts) and health insurance. My self-pay charges are similar to a specialist copay for clients with high-deductible health plans.
How do I know if my health insurance will pay for your service?
First, you will need to call your insurance and ask if you have a “dietitian benefit”. If so, you will need to meet your deductible before they will pay for my services. If you have the benefit and have met your deductible, you will want to ask them 1) how many visits will they pay for per calendar year and
2) what your copay will be for each visit.
How long does it take for me to learn how to eat a healthy diet?
I recommend at least 6 visits to acquire the understanding of healthy eating. Habits take at least 6-8 weeks to become established and on-going support is recommended.
Do you treat Eating Disorders?
I am not an Eating Disorders specialist, but I am happy to refer you to an Eating Disorder Clinic for assessment and treatment.
How do you meet clients?
